My Blog got hacked because of a Virus

My Windows Operating system was infected by a virus named Worm.W32.Netsky and some of the effects of this virus is by "phising" on web services that needs your login info (blog, e-mail, etc.) and I just found out that a certain "Dr. Mark" has hacked my wordpress blog thru this effect (good thing I was able to fix the problem and change my password).

So what I did was download the fix and installed a professional 3rd party firewall software (Windows Firewall really sucked big time). But I suspect this is only a temporary remedy and I will continue on researching for a cure for this virus.

In the meantime I was fortunate though that my computer also has a Linux OS installed (as of this writing I am using the Linux OS for now.)

To those who wrote the virus...I million AMPF! to you.

Sunday Evening Blog: Company Christmas Party and More

Its another edition of Sunday blog post and I would start with the Christmas party that our company held at Water World Resort.

Christmas Party: A bonding of both Day and Night Shift Employees

Working for an outsourcing company is a great experience and for six plus months that I have been employed with the company that I haven't seen such a great event like our Christmas Party in which both Day and Nightshift agents enjoy each other company. Aside from the exchanging of gifts, we had some parlor games and of course some talented agents showing some of their talents.

Baby's First Church Mass

Earlier today was the very first time for Baby Venice to attend Church Mass. All through out the mass he was somewhat listening (although she doesn't understand yet, but it a good start for her Catholic life).

Despite The Transportation Strike, We Still Work

For those of us who work in an outsourcing company, today's transportation strike is not an excuse for us not to work because our clients don't care. If ever we can go to the office, a nearby internet cafe or better yet work at home.

I do sympathize with the protesters yet there are some other ways to resolve our nation's problems by trying to analyze the situation not by just going to the streets and do protests.

We Should Make a difference ourselves.

My PayPerPost Meme

What is PayPerPost?

PayPerPost is a website which helps content creators such as bloggers, videographers, podcasters and photographers find advertisers willing to sponsor specific content. The advertisers create opportunities that describe the content they are looking for. These opportunities are sometimes called blog ads. The bloggers then choose opportunities in their area of interest.Once the blogger has written a blog post or posted a video that matches the requirements, PayPerPost then reviews the post against its requirements and PayPerPost terms of service, and handles payment.

What is the reason why I signup for PayPerPost?

These folks pioneered the "get paid to blog" concept. Besides being the most popular paid blogging network, I've found that they always seem to have the most job opportunities available at any given time. PayPerPost pays bloggers anywhere from $5 to over $200 per completed and approved post.

Have I made new friends because of PayPerPost?

I met some of blogger friends through their posting of PayPerPost sponsored articles and blogs. They where the ones who encouraged me to signed up.

What are you going to do with all the money you earn?

Spend it wisely. Maybe I will buy a new laptop or any other stuff that I really like through online shops like Amazon.com or eBay.com.

Tarlok Teji, head of retail at analysts Deloitte, said this about shopping in Scotland: "We expect 2008 to deliver double-digit growth in terms of internet retailing. The number of people shopping online and the number of retailers with online stores are increasing quickly. The strongest sectors will be grocery and clothing."

Christmas / Holiday Shopping -- 7

The shopping rush has begun ... will it be good for you? ... will it be good for merchants?
