Love
I ache from the perfumes of spring.
I have forgotten your face, I no longer remember your hands;
how did your lips feel on mine?
Because of you, I love the white statues drowsing in the parks,
the white statues that have neither voice nor sight.
I have forgotten your voice, your happy voice; I have forgotten your eyes.
Like a flower to its perfume, I am bound to my vague memory of you.
I live with pain that is like a wound; if you touch me, you will do me irreparable harm.
Your caresses enfold me, like climbing vines on melancholy walls.
I have forgotten your love, yet I seem to glimpse you in every window.
Because of you, the heady perfumes of summer pain me;
because of you, I again seek out the signs that precipitate desires: shooting stars, falling objects.

Sunday Evening Blog: Facebook Games, NFL Draft and Blog updates
It's another edition of my weekly Sunday blog to summarize some of my weeks events. To start of my weekend recap, I would start on some Facebook games that I have recently got "crazed" about. I just found out from several of my co-workers at the night shift that they are crazy about the game Tower Bloxx, since one of them invited me so I joined the craze also.
the goal of the game was to stack each building blocks by dropping them from a swinging crane. The better you stack the blocks, the lesser the building would sway. You are only allowed 3 mistakes so it's not easy at looks though. You'll need some patience and good timing so that you'll get higher stacks.
BattlePets
Another Facebook game that I am also playing most of the time is BattlePets. this game is somewhat similar to a turn-based version of Pokemon. You can train your Pets so that they may get stronger. You may also get new pets by going on an "adventure" fight wild PETS. Once you defeat that wild Pets there's a chance though you could capture it. You can also join some BattleArena tournament on which you can could battle your Pets against other BP players.
The NFL draft
For those of you who don't know, I'm an avid American Football fan specially the NFL and my favorite team in particular is the St. Louis Rams. I've been a football fan since high school and I follow the games on cable and now that there the internet I regularly check my favorite team's scores, stats and standings. I also follow their off season news and update specially the draft because I like to give my opinions about draft prospects on some fan forums. Recently I created my own fan blog GRIDIRON RAMS so that I can post my personal opinions and information on every aspect about the St. Louis Rams.
... Blog updates...
I just update some of my blog during the pastweek including this blog in which I trimmed down my blogrolls so that my blog would page load faster and copied the others on another post and link them on the sidebar. Also removed some of the Javascript applications that I believe is now longer effective for my site like Blogrush. I also signed up to SPOTTT, another traffic generating service similar to Entrecard so that my blog traffic would increase on an another aspect.

Week 3 of Adobe Illustrator - More CS3 integrations
This training also showed use how CS3 softwares interconnect with each other. Since a nice banner should show high-resolution pictures yet still having a web friendly file size, we used Photoshop to "optimized" the pictures and Illustrator for Vector Graphics before we drag them unto Flash to create the the banner ad. We then added some motion animations for nice effects.

AddThis Bookmarking Buttons for Blogger.com blogs
That's because I've added codes that I got from AddThis, com. Not only that they provide the bookmarking button for almost all types of blog platform but also they will provide you with some statistics on how many times your blog is being bookmarked.
For those of you who are using blogger, com you can add the bookmark button by registering first to AddThis.com. Then to insert the codes, select 'Template' --> 'Edit HTML', then copy-and-paste the code below into the template, right after the < div class='post-footer' > tag. Note: be sure to check the 'Expand Widget Templates' checkbox first. When you are done, click 'Save Template'.
If you can't find the tag, copy the template code into a text editor (e.g. Notepad, etc), and search for the 'post-footer' string. You might also want to save a copy of the original template before changing it.
New Twitter Desktop Application Released
Here's a screenshot of my TWHIRL Desktop application.
What I like about TWHIRL is that it's a desktop application which runs under Adobe Air platform, meaning no more logging into the browser just to post your latest "Tweet".

Search Engine with Style
Here's a search engine which I read from Blogie's blog. It's called Searchme. This search engine uses Mac-style interface in display the results of the search.
I tried searching My Random Thoughts and I was able to find my blog on the 10th place. At least it found my blog.
I would assume it was build on Adobe Flex,Open Lazslo or Silverlight because of its Flash-based interface.

Zemanta Firefox Plugin
I’ve installed this on my blog to see how it works, and the suggestions given by this seem to be pretty good. Here is a screenshot of Zemanta while writing this post:
I thank VT's Tech Blog for sharing about this plugin on his blog.
Creating Post Summaries on Blogger.com
Conditional CSS
We're going to use conditional tags to change how posts display on different pages. Add the following code to your style sheet, depending on what kind of template you have:
Your style sheet is usually near the top of your template, between the tags. If you have your style sheet in a separate file, you'll still need to add these lines in your template, so the conditional tags will work. Just make sure you add in the tags around them.
What we did here was to define a class called "fullpost" that will appear only on post pages (permalinks). Part of each post will use this class, as we'll see later.
"Read More" Links
Add the following code to your template, somewhere after the <$dollarBlogItemBody$dollar> or
This link will only appear on the main page and archive pages, and it will redirect your reader to the post page containing the full text of your post. You can replace the "Read more!" text with whatever you like, of course.
Post Modifications
The final piece that we need is a little bit of code in your actual post. Each post that you want to use this feature on will need this code:
This part can actually go in the post template, if you don't want to have to type it for each post. You'll enter the summary text outside the span tags and the remainder inside, like so:
Here is the beginning of my post. And here is the rest of it.
Now, when a reader visits your blog, this post will appear like this:
Here is the beginning of my post.
When they click the link, they'll go to the post page where they'll see the whole thing:
Here is the beginning of my post. And here is the rest of it.

Week Two of Adobe Illustrator Training by Chris Cubos
Layer function demonstration
Week 2 of our Adobe Illustrator tutorial was a bit an enlightening experience as we learned that Illustrator supports 3 types of layering functions. The first is the standard layering, the second is the layer within the layer and last but the least. The object element appearance "layering".
Aside from the layering function, we were tough to use the proper swatch color depending on the purpose of the project. There are some preset colors that are used for the following situation like web colors, for Kids colors, for restaurant , etc.

Sunday Evening Blog: A Long Weekend
It was declared last week that tomorrow will be a regular holiday( Araw ng Kagitingan or Valor Day) instead on Wednesday. This has become an opportunity for us to visit my in-laws in Toril, Davao City. Of course my wife and my baby daughter will also be coming along as my in-law are excited to see my 6 months-old daughter (actually it's her "birthday" today).
Hope we have a safe trip tomorrow.

Nobody's A Hero
The headline reads
Another boy shot down to his knees
A drug crazed killer
Blew his dreams away
The T.V. speaks of all the violence
And the latest crimes
The tragedies, Kennedys ain't that a sign of the times
Whoa oh oh is there anybody out there
A living soul that cares at all
Whoa, oh oh is there anybody out there
'Cause how can we live in a world where...
Nobody's a hero nobody's a fighter
Where would we be in this land of foes
Without heroes I don't know
And who will we turn to
When the walls come tumbling down
It's time to change, rearrange
This world that we've found
Whoa oh oh is there anybody out there
A living should that cares at all
Whoa oh oh is there anybody out there
'Cause how can we live in a world where...
Nobody's a hero nobody's a fighter
Where would we be in this land of foes
Without heroes I don't know
I think Lennon said it best
"We should give peace a chance"
The only fear is fear itself
The change is in our hands
Nobody's a hero nobody's a fighter
Where would we be in this land of foes
Without heroes I don't know...

Posting Using Windows Live Writer
I got curious when Blogie blogged his experience using the the Window Live Writer. And I must say, I got curious about the features it brings specially when I can make a post offline and I can save a copy of my post here in my own PC and it's totally FREE.
With this software, I can write my blog post first before posting them without the hassle of logging in to Blogger, WordPress or any blogging platform that it can support.
As of this writing, I am now using Live Writer and was able to publish this post without actually login in to my blogger.com account.

April Fools' Day
April Fools' Day or All Fools' Day, though not a holiday in its own right, is a notable day celebrated in many countries on April 1. The day is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, enemies and neighbors, or sending them on fools' errands, the aim of which is to embarrass the gullible.
