The Blogging from Home Book Review
This book review is a bit overdue because I said from my last post that I'd post my review on tita Janette Toral's book entitle: "Blogging from Home"..
To start off, I would like to say thank you the author for publishing this book because there are a lot of people still doesn't understand the concept of "blogging". With this book I was able to learn some of the aspects of blogging like how we promote our own blogs to creating blog networks and others.
The book is so easy to understand because there are real visual examples included for the readers to understand the topics better. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book to both novice and pro bloggers alike because you will learn a lot from this book.

Drupalism being moved to a new webhost
For those of you might wonder why my Drupalism (http://drupalism.co.cc) blog is currently "not found". Well to tell you frankly the (free)webhost caused some errors when I try to upgrade and it cannot be recovered. Fortunately I was able to back up some of the modules need when Drupalism rises again on its new home.
Well it's a brand new start for that Drupal project of mine and some lessons learn: Never rely too much on free web hostings".

I just arrived from the DigitalFilipino.com Club and Bloggers Davao Networking Event which was held at Pantawan Hall, Grand Regal Hotel. The place was filled with bloggers and IT professional alike which includes some of Davao's known bloggers like Blogie Robillo, Ria Jose, Andrew Dela Serna, etc.. Some of my colleagues at work where also present like Isis Lahora, Aweng Basco, Gerard Lanzona, Dante Basalan, Dennis Casa, Raphael Banta, Kaiser Mangampo and Kurt Damada.
The evening started with a dinner buffet and I would like to commend Casino Filipino for serving delicious foods specially the lechon. I was able to go two rounds of serving.
.
After dinner, Janette Toral started with her presentation about the Digital Filipino Club, Update on Ratified.org and the Influential Bloggers Writing Project.
After Janette's presentation, the band Music Authority then went on stage to play while the rest socializing and having a good time.
Before I left the place, I was able to bought Janette's book Blogging From Home from her with a signed dedication.

400th Post
The Obsession to Things Unconventional
Unconventional has been lifestyle ever since high school. I usually don't go with the trend because personally I want to be unique in my own personal way from the clothing style I wear which is laid-back and simple to the music the I listen (I'm more into metal and rock which you can read about on my other blog). Even here online I'm doing some unconventional stuff because I enjoyed some thing that not all people like to do (on a positive way).
Even to the choice of Computer Operating Systems, I choose Ubuntu Linux, instead of Windows when I go online (someone asked why is it I choose this complex OS), well for the simple reason that the Linux environment is virtually safe from viruses and malwares and it doesn't slow down my computer.
I would hope this meme/rant would serve as my testimony of my personal life style which is done is a positive and good way.

Wi-Fi and Blogging at Ford Davao
Today, I drove my car over to Ford Davao for it's regular change oil. While waiting for them to finish the service, I chance myself of going online using their free Wi-Fi service as well as Coke Zero and an Egg Sandwich to boot.
I also had a chance to chat with some of the closest Ford employees (since I worked for this company before). Some of them where gone to other companies. Some have come back.

Exploring New Technologies
Exploring new technologies is one of the jobs of a TDO (Training and Development Officer) and I decided to satisfy my curiosity on Movable Type.
Movable Type is a weblog publishing system developed by the company Six Apart. It was publicly announced on 3 September 2001, and version 1.0 was publicly released on 8 October 2001. On 12 December 2007, Movable Type was relicensed as free software under the GNU General Public License.
To continue with my exploration, I decided to install Movable Type under the subfolder of my CNSQWEB.com site. All my findings and reviews about the blogging platform will be chronicled on that very blog.

CNSQWEB now a search engine
I got this idea from a mindanao blogger in which he created a search engine site which is powered by Google search. So I made my own search engine and converted CNSQWEB.com into a search engine emulating Google itself.

Purchased Another Domain and Hosting
With some plans to develop new personal blogs and websites, I decided to purchase a new domain name and hosting. Thanks to Kaiser my officemate, I was able to purchase CNSQWEB.com (http://www.cnsqweb.com) for a very low price and its hosted on one of the most reliable webhosting that I trust which is HOSTGATOR .
More Modifications on the Blog
Still not satisfied with my last modification of this blog, I added some alpha filtering effects on the header, man and sidebar background so that it would have a fade out effect.
The reason why I added the background color back on the on the out wrapper is because it want the ads to have a blending effect with the background. That would be it for now.

Baby Venice's 2 day Birthday Celebration
The moment has arrived as we celebrated baby Venice's 1st birtday on two days. The October 5 celebration was held at Grand Men Seng in which we invited close relatives and some friends at work like Isis, James Roy and Aubrey.
On October 6, her actual birthday, we woke up early and went to church to thank the Lord for giving her the blessing on her 1 year of being with us. Then later in the evening another celebration was held, this time we celebrated here at home with only the family and relatives.
Here are some selected pictures of the party

New Background Design .... Again
It's October and I needed to infuse some updates on my blog so I started with the background design. The last background design lately has become "boring" for me so I decided change it to this new "gothic" background design.
It's now October
It's now October and there are some events that I already marked. those dates are October 5 (my daughter 1st birthday celebration but her actual birthday is on the 6th), My wife's birthday (on the 13th) and of course on the October 21 which is the DigitalFilipino.com Club and Bloggers Davao Networking Event which I was invited by Janet Toral.
