New Blogging Project: iTouch Blogger
I recently acquired an iPod Touch 3G (32 GB) and I use it to listening to my favorite music, to watch some TV series and movies on the go, listening to podcasts and to catch on my social networks (Facebook and Twitter) and of course blogging thru that very device.
As a result, I decided to create a new blogging project called "iTouch Blogger" which will talk about the iPod Touch and the iPhone, the applications and the concept of mobile blogging.
I will updating that blog mostly from the iTouch itself and will only do designs updates thru my laptop.

Sunday Evening blog: A tribute to my aunt Emily
This latest blog post dedicated to my late aunt Emily who passed away yesterday. Her closest friend in Germany called my mother informing of her passing. As of this writing, the cause of her death are not yet clear as we are still try to get in touch with my cousin online. For now I could only pray that her soul may rest in peace and join our beloved Creator. I would like to share this poem by Chad R. Kornegay entitled Hate to See You Go
HATE TO SEE YOU GO
I love to see you smile,
I hate to see you go,
I wish I was with you
since the first rooster crowed.
You have always been in my heart
even when times were tart.
You have always been #1
even when times weren't fun.
I hope to see you
again one day
I know that you are watching over me
even when skies are gray.
I can still see your face
when I shut my eyes
and all I can think about
is why?
Why did you have to go?
It was all too soon.
I wish you could come back
so I could say "I LOVE YOU!"

Mobile Internet: the next frontier
Mobile internet has become the next big thing since the release of iPhone (or the iPod touch ) nowadys new mobile phones now include wi-fi capabilities so that users can now enjoy surfing the internet, checking e-mails, updating social networks by just using the portable comforts of a mobile phone.
Sure laptops and netbooks are portable but you can't carry it anywhere you want because they are bulky where as mobile phones can be carried in you pocket or hand bag.
As of this writing mobile internet still has limits unlike the internet that we are enjoying using the computer.

The Photojournalism Seminar for Bloggers
Last Saturday, I attended a Photojournalism Seminar for Bloggers which was held at Riverwalk Grill at Diversion Road, Maa. The seminar was conducted by Jojie Alcantara.

We also participated on actual photo-shooting assignments in which we are to implement what we have learned and submit our top 5 photos for an open forum critique later on.
Overall the seminar was fun and personally, it has enhanced my knowledge in Photography.
Here are my photos taken during the seminar

Learning Google Wave
Since getting the invitation, I was so excited to have my very own Google Wave account. But since getting the account, I'm having problems exploring Wave since there's no definite Google Wave guide yet since Wave has just been recently released.
Good thing I found this video that is really helpful for me to learn Google Wave.
Sunday Morning Blog: Blog Updates and Facebook Games
Today's edition of my Sunday blog is more about the recent blog update that I did on several of my niche blogs since I got my blogging "groove" back in rhythm. As I stated on my last post that I have posted some updates on my other blogs.
Also I been on Facebook for some of my free time to do some "research" for my newest blog Facebook Games Review.
I have recreated a separate account for the purpose of testing the games online (and separate them from my personal account since I don't want to add friends that I don't really know).

Playstation Portable 3000
Last month, my mother ask If what should I get as pasalubong when my dad goes home from his 1 week trip in the the US. Well I've been dreaming of having my own Playstation Portable so that I can play some games on my off-time when I need to rest my laptop. So I told her PlayStation Portable 3000 and Madden NFL 10 would be my choice.
I've been itching to play Madden NFL since 2001 because I love playing American football on my PC before ( basketball is to finesse for me, no offense to all you NBA fans out there).
New Blog: Facebook Games Review
It's been a while since my last blog post because I spend most of my on work, family and going online on social media sites like Twitter, Plurk and Facebook.
Speaking of Facebook, I created a new blog entitled Facebook Games Review. It's all about the games on Facebook that I play and some up coming games that I would discover. The site is fairly new and will try to update that as much as I can since I now have a several blogs to maintain.

Celebrating Birthdays of my Two closest people I love
It's been a while since I wrote an update because of work and preparations for my daughter's 2nd birthday on October 6 and today it's my wife's turn to celebrate her birthday.
During my daughter's birthday, the theme was Dora the Explorer. We hired a Dora mascot with a party host. The kids enjoyed the party with my daughter laughing in between jokes (and to think she's just turned 2).

Sunday Morning Blogging: Boxing and Google Chrome 3
This edition of Sunday Morning Blogging will be about me more about Google Chrome 3 than me watching the Marquez-Mayweather fight (although as of this writing, the ones battling are the undercards yet).
For those of you who are not aware of new features that Chrome 3 bring then here's the summarize version:
New Home/ Tab Page
The most noticeable part about Chrome 3 is the homepage. The design of the homepage has been tweaked and users can now rearrange thumbnails of most-visited websites by simple clicking and dragging gestures. Additionally, users can "pin" the thumbnails to where they are so that they are not replaced by others in due course. The homepage is also customizable now, with the user getting options to show and hide what he wants on the homepage.
Themes Support
This feature is one of my favorites because I like to match my desktop color theme with my browser. You can download themes directly from its menu.
Better HTML5 Support
The stable version of Google Chrome now supports HTML5 and will now prove to be a decent competition for Firefox 3.5, which recently added the same. HTML5 enables the browser user to natively play video encoded in the open source Ogg Theora format and Ogg Vorbis audio, which provides for manipulation and editing of video without the use of an external program. Need I say more?
It's Faster
This I really notice when I open sites like Twitzap and Plurk.com together. Both sites really packs up the resources because both sites use extensive Ajax scripts which Google Chrome 3 has handle perfectly.
So what are waiting for, Download Google Chrome 3 now!

Mousehunt Wallpaper
It's a special non-working holiday today but here I am at the office working ( and compensated with additional 30% to our pay for today). Out of boredom because I've been doing non-stop work for sometime that I need some time to relax then graphic designer in me kicked in without warning.
Since have been bragging on plurk that I would rather play Mousehunt on facebook than Mafia Wars or Farmtown/Farmville/"planting thing-a-maging" , I decided to design a wallpaper to pay tribute to my favorite facebook game.
Now that's what you call dedication

More Free Blogger Templates to Choose from
Blogger.com has one of the best blogging platform available (the others are Wordpress.com and LiveJournal.com) but as of now blogger's default themes are not quite impressive that is why blogger developer has allowed used to be able to install third-party templates for our blogs.
With that in mind, I would like to share 101 Free Blogger Templates from BloggerBuster.com

Just at Home for Sunday Afternoon blogging
Sunday Afternoon blogging will be a time for me to catch up on my blogging updates as well as research more about HTML 5 and CSS 3. Since the internet at home is now fixed (the whole house is now a Wi-Fi zone), I can do my net crawling anywhere in the house (including the bathroom hehe just kidding).

Why everybody should learn Ubuntu
It't true that Ubuntu (or Linux in general) is not as apealing as Windows systems because of it "user friendly-ness" but it's just a matter of learning the new technology. The latest version of Ubuntu has already mades stride by giving Windows users a full on functional Ubuntu system within Windows by using the wubi-installation method.
This method will give the user flexibility while having the luxury of going back to Windows anytime by just restarting the system. The mean reason why I prefer Ubuntu over Windows Vista is stability, security and being virtual virus free.
So the next time you plan to buy a laptop or a "netbook" you have now have the option of choosing the most affordable system for you since Ubuntu won't be an added into the price.

Having fun with Ubuntu and Compiz
Another Sunday afternoon blogging for me and this time I'm using the Ubuntu OS with a full configure Compiz window manager application. What I like about Compiz is that it make managing my task better and with a little bit fun to it.
The Compiz application can emulate effects similar to the windows management on Mac OS X. Another feature that Compiz is famouse about is the 3D cube effect. Overall Ubuntu has been a good alternative operating system for every who cannot afford a licensed Windows OS and very particular in terms of virus and malware securities.

Ramblings of a BORED man
Yes you read the title right, being offline specially at home really, really BORES me because of the sheer boredom that it brings to me. It's been two days that I wasn't able to go online at home because the Wi-Fi router is being replaced.
Because of boredom, I resorted to write a blogpost just to release this boredom of mine, heck, this predicament I'm having
is also sign that it's time for me to get my own internet connection.
A colleague of mine said that he applied for SMART Post Paid Wireless USB internet for only P1,500 so that he can
surf online every where as long as there's a Smart Telecom cellsite.
While I'm writing this post, wifey is playing SIMS 3 using my cousin's Macbook laptop. The latest SIMS game might
have a great graphics YET this BORES me more than the original SIMS (with expansion) which I like better regardless of the subpar graphics. Playing god in a virtual world is no longer my computer play of choice.
Speaking of games, my new favorite computer game is called "Governor of Poker" which I previously played online thru Y8.com. All the games at Y8.com are mostly trial games on which you need to buy the full version to advance into the next
stage. This game has improved my skills on how to play No Limit Texas Hold'em Poker. Maybe I might beat Ria Jose on a game
someday (hehehe just kidding, di kita kaya talunin with your "actual" poker game experience).
This would be enough for now.. My eyes are now trying to close ...**yawn** '. I'll be back on my next blog post.

My New Toy: Toshiba Satellite L310-S416
It's been a while since I blogged because my old desktop computer at the old house is about to retire and I really need a laptop. The time has come as I was able to purchase my very own laptop and it's a Toshiba Satellite L310-S416. With this new toy of mine, I can continue my blogging as well as tweeting and plurking (good thing the new house has WiFi and I can go online almost anywhere in the new house).

A Quick Update: My Macbook Experience
It's been a while since my last update and I was able to go online since I'm "renting" my cousin's Macbook. It's my first time to use a Macbook (I'm currently geeting used to the Mac OSX environment since I'm more familiar with Windows and Ubuntu environments)
My first impression on using the Macbook was a bit rocky since keyboard orientation is a bit different on Windows and Ubuntu but I was able to familiarize myself in the long run since I'm using the Macbook every now and then when I'm checking my e-mails or my Facebook account.
With this experience that I have now, I think I won't be "overwhelmed" when I get my own Macbook. For now borrowing the Macbook is one of my great experience while I adjust into our new home.

Philippine Gov't Too Focused on the Hayden Kho Sex Scandal
Okay now we all know that the the Dr. Hayden Kho Sex Scandal was a national issue but for the Senate to focus their energies on the issues it just overkill.
I sympathize with Katrina Halili for what happened to her but there are a lot of issues which the good Senate needs to address like the upcoming 2010 Elections.
I'm entitled to my opinion and this is what I have to say about the issue.

Memorial Day
In U.S. we remember those that have fought for our freedem ... we don't take freedom lightly, but sometimes we take those defenders of freedom for granted ... jeez, they're there, it's a job, do your thing, let me do my thing ... not quite that easy ... let's not forget that they also fought alongside our friends in many other nations to preserve a peacefully, free way of life for others, worldwide

The Transitional Life
My life now is considered in transition as me and my family are embarking on a "transitional" phase as we have now moved into a new residence away (but not really far away from my parents house) since my daughter is fast growing up and I would like to inject some "independence" on our daily undertakings.
We are still adjusting to the new environment which somewhat better that the previous residence (e.g. the room is bigger on the new place and it's much nearer to my workplace cutting down travel time by at least 5 minutes or so).
The only problem that I have with my new residence is that there is no internet connection yet and currently scouting possibilities what type of internet service I am gonna get and honestly I cannot live without the internet now that its part of my life.
